You Are The Average Of The Five People You Spend The Most Time With

Happy Sunday everyone!

Another productive week over here. Before jumping into the real alpha, I wanted to remind you to keep pushing, always do what you love, and show daily gratitude for the tiny things.

Following these 3 principles will make you happier and keep you positive, even when you are in your blues.

Hope you have a great time and enjoy the read!

Grow your mindset: Escape your circle, it drags you down

You might not believe it but your friends drag you down.

This has nothing to do with them in particular, it's just statistics.

Close to 40% of the world is lazy. That gives you a pretty big chance of having lazy friends. And laziness is a progress killer.

I do know that I have some lazy friends and the truth is, even if I enjoy their company a lot, I try to put them aside.

“Bubits, you such a bad person!”. No, I just respect myself.

Having 2 friends with the same goals is all you need. They keep you motivated, they want the best for you, and you’ll achieve your goals together.

Now, there are two questions:

  1. How do I know if I should stop hanging out with someone?

  2. How do I find friends worth keeping?

How do you know if you should stop hanging out with someone?

-If they laugh at you when you are telling them your crazy plan on how you are going to change your life.

-When they don’t celebrate your biggest Ws.

-Or when they aren’t taking any steps towards getting better. It’s time to take some distance.

How do I find friends worth keeping?

If you think you have no one around you, get out there and start looking for someone. Get on calls, meet new people, open conversations, and connect.

Eventually, you’ll find someone who has the same passion to improve as you. Someone who has virtues you admire.

Once you find them, make sure you never let them go.

What’s good is that you need to do that only once. One or two friends are all you need to change your life.

Hope this topic was something you’re looking for. I’m always open to chatting in DMs or even on personal calls. Feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Building in Public

Finally, I started getting more engagement. This week I jumped from 120k to 190k (+65%) impressions this week.

I had 2 posts with 25k and 45k views. I also tried out long-form tweets and they seem to work (185 likes and 25k views)

I didn’t write a thread this week and I felt that many of the thread writers weren’t really consistent this week.

I also have many calls with some of my supporters this week and this really helped me with engagement.

Creating a small sub-community of hyperactive supporters can save your account.
