Bonus: How to become a better communicator

Hey everyone! 👋

It’s been a long time since my last post and I really missed you guys. But I needed that break a lot.

During these 40 days away, many things happened…

I went on vacation for a week, and I landed a part-time job at web3. I also finished the bot I was talking about months back and now we are testing it. Last week, I started working on my first-ever business, a web3 agency.

I was thinking about the newsletter and what I want to cover with it so from now on it’s going to be more focused on building my business, sharing all the new things I’m learning, as well as the mistakes I make. I will also provide some Twitter hacks here and there cause I feel many of you are trying to build your personal brands.

But don’t worry, I will still share my personal growth bits when I’m feeling it 😁

Enough of my boring life. Let's get into it…

🏗️ Building in Public

As I said, I finished the website for the web3 tool that I’m building. If you remember I was pitching the idea here ages back (3-4 months ago).

Throughout these 4 months, I thought about how I should start, how difficult it would be, and how long it would take.

The outcome? I had little-to-no progress in that period.

I decided to stop procrastinating. So I sat down and started learning how to code a website.

3 days later the website was ready…

Moral of the story?

The best moment to start was years ago.
The second best time is now

🍄 Level Up

It took me years to realize, but being an effective speaker is one of the most invaluable skills one can possess.

Speaking is our primary way of communicating with others. It’s the main way to express ourselves.

Let’s say you wanna find a partner What do you do?

You meet someone and you start talking. You share your opinions and values and connect with them.

In such scenarios, you often have plenty of time to articulate your thoughts, which underscores the importance of effective speaking.

But what about when you're in an interview, on a call with your boss, or pitching your business to a group of investors?

If you can’t convince others, speak with authority or inspire passion with your words, you lost the game.

You could be the smartest person in the world but if you can't effectively communicate your thoughts to others, your brilliance will remain unknown.

How do I get better?

What I do is record myself and then listen back to it. I write down all the parts I'm not satisfied with and then think about how I could rephrase them to sound better.

On top of that, I also read books in order to improve my vocabulary.

Let’s set a challenge for this week.

Challenge

🎯 Say less “uh” and “ah” when you’re talking.

Tip: Tell your friends to give you a heads-up when you’re saying “uh” or “ah”

💭 I need your feedback: One of my main goals is to get 1% better every day. I love learning and getting better and your feedback’s really valuable to me.
If there’s something you’re enjoying, or that you think I could improve on, let me know 😇
