This decision determined who I am today...

9/4/23

Happy Sunday everyone!

Praying for others’ downfall is ultimately the most toxic trait you can possibly have. Living a life with friends like these becomes extremely hard. This is why it's important to be careful about who you let into your life.

A good friend is someone you can share the good news with and they won’t feel jealous or envious but will celebrate with you and they’ll feel as happy as you are.

With that said, enjoy your Sunday with your true friends and I’m wishing you a great read!

Grow your mindset: This decision determined who I am today…

My mind has been cultivated most by math. I always loved math. I remember back in 8th grade taking part in math competitions. The competition used to be divided into three stages, and then you would compete for a place on the National Math team. I only made it to the second phase (wasn’t smart enough :) ).

Anyway, that love for math made me dive into coding later on. Coding and maths are based on key concepts such as simplicity, optimization, and precise language and they teach you skills like problem-solving, decision-making, risk management and a lot more.

Many people think math isn't useful and that it has no practical application in life.

On the one hand, this is true cause you never use 99% of the formulas they teach you at school. But math isn’t just formulas.

The reason math is so important is that studying and solving exercises train you in all these skills that then can be implemented in life.

On top of that, math is the essence of everything.

Understanding math and how it works, is a way to understand how a business, a community or a government functions. In essence, to gain a better understanding of life.

Four years back, I decided to pursue a major in math. This decision at first felt stupid as math isn’t that practical and I could have gone for a Computer Science major instead. But after all, it feels like the best thing that ever happened to me.

The lessons I’ve extracted from this major and the influence math had on my mindset have turned me into a whole different person.

To give you an example, this week I felt really overwhelmed. I’m in a spot where I don’t know what to do next. So I sat down locked the door, took a piece of paper and wrote down all my problems from the most to the least important. Then wrote a list of steps that briefly explain what I need to do to resolve them. So far I’ve been following these steps and it looks great as I don’t feel stressed at all now.

That math mindset determined who I’m today and that mindset helped me so far to live with zero to little problems. All I’m trying with this newsletter is to make you see the world through my eyes and help you solve as many problems as possible.

PS. If you need any sort of help, practical or emotional support, my DMs are always open and I’d be more than happy to listen to you.

This week, there wasn’t a lot of stuff that took place in the space. Elon Musk pumped his bags as he changed the Twitter Icon with a doge and $DOGE pumped over 30% but other than that only this is major.
